Austin Neighborhoods

Dripping Springs/Driftwood Information

Dripping Springs is located approximately 26 miles west of downtown Austin at the intersection of Highway 290 and Ranch Road 12. Gorgeous rolling hills abound here with homes nestled between the valleys and creeks. Although many residents are employed in Austin, the area remains largely agricultural. While cattle, goats and sheep predominate, many ranches raise exotic animals such as fallow deer, ostriches, llamas, elk, and buffalo. Opportunities exist for outdoor fun including: Founder's Park, Pedernales Falls State Park, Hamilton Pool, and Reimers Ranch Park.

Plan to pay a visit to local wineries and spirits producers Duchman Family Winery, Driftwood Vineyards, Wimberley Valley Winery, Dripping Springs Vodka and some of the best BBQ in Texas can be enjoyed at The Salt Lick.

Neighborhoods include Saddle Tree, Friendship Ranch, Deer Creek, Walking Ranch, Polo Club, Rim Rock Ranch, Settler’s Point, and Bel Terra.
