Round Rock is one of the fastest growing areas in Texas, boasting a great historic area, and home to a large colony of Mexican free-tail bats. Located in Round Rock is the Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express baseball team, and many new and existing subdivisions and golf courses.

Texas State University, Texas A & M Medical School and Austin Community College are located here with plans to eventually serve over 40,000 students. Retail establishments include Ikea, Round Rock Premium Outlets and La Frontera. St. David's Round Rock Medical Center Hospital, Scott and White and Seton Medical Center Williamson, serve this area. Neighborhoods include Villages of Brushy Creek, Oaklands, Round Rock West, Forest Creek, Cat Hollow, The Settlement, Oak Creek, Stone Canyon, Davis Springs, Avery Ranch, Wood Glen, Hidden Glen, Sonoma, Tonkawa Springs, Estates at Settler’s Park, Teravista, Behren’s Ranch, and Forest Ridge.
