A Summer Treasure Hunt
If your summer could use a little adventure and your wallet a little cash, you might consider going on an online treasure hunt. There’s money to be found and some of it really could have YOUR name on it.
ClaimItTexas.org is the official State of Texas unclaimed property website. By exploring it, you may find old bank accounts that you forgot existed, security deposits, refunds and money from various other sources. According to the site, one in four Texans has unclaimed property. And, all you have to do is log-in with your name to launch your own hunt.
We decided to try it in our office. Within five minutes, we had logged in the names of each of our team members and we found over $1,000. It was a quick, fun diversion, and even profitable for some of us. Try it for yourself and then let us know what you find!
